The double-sided design means my twins can work on uppercase on one side and lowercase on the other without fighting over it. The wood has a nice smooth finish and the tracing grooves are deep enough that little fingers actually follow them instead of scribbling off.

My four-year-old actually asks to use this, which never happens with anything educational. The double-sided setup means she can practice uppercase on one side and flip it over for lowercase, so it grows with her instead of getting tossed aside in a month.

The grooves are deep enough that my daughter's pencil actually stays in the lines instead of sliding off, which was my biggest worry. Having uppercase on one side and lowercase on the other means we don't need a second board. It's become the calm part of our morning routine.
